To decorate for Thanksgiving, we took a small pumpkin from our garden to my parents house. We abandoned the pumpkin at my parent's house after Thanksgiving and didn't expect to see it again. But..... when we visited for Christmas, my mom still had it and she and my children painted it with acrylic paint to decorate for Christmas! It's an unexpected, cheerful decoration!
